So I’ve been working on a new look – inspired by the one I had before, but modified enough that I’m going to stop linking to the original design by Firda Beka
z600 themes
I found a great site for downloading all sorts of media for the z600. my z600 has lots of themes, ringtones and other media for z600 phones. My current favourite themes are Monsters Inc and Diff’rent Strokes.
I got a new phone. I have a real penchant for gadgets, and my latest phone is no exception. It’s a Sony Ericsson z600. So far I only have the boring covers for it, but thanks to ebay I should have some better ones soon :D. I’ve found lots of good sites for screensavers, games, themes etc, so I’ll be making some posts. I think I’ll make myself a z600 page so I can keep all my links in one place.
Review: The Station Agent
The Station Agent is about the relationship between a guy who runs a snack vam a mother who has lost her young son, and a guy who inherits an old station house. It sounds a little boring but it’s not, it’s a lot of fun and a really good watch. My only complaint is that it finishes quite abruptly – I could have watched a lot more of this.

Matrix Pingpong
I posted a link to Matrix Ping Pong a while ago, but that link is dead, so I’m posting this one which will hopefully survive a bit longer. The matrix pinngpong seems to be one of the most popular search terms within the blog so I thought I should update.
Review: House of Sand and Fog
House of Sand and Fog stars Ben Kingsley and Jennifer Connelly.
This is an amazing film. I haven’t seen Sean Penn’s film, but Ben Kingsley was robbed of an oscar. I did see “Lost in Translation”, and Bill Murray’s great, but I thought Ben Kinglsey was superb in this film. It’s not a comfortabble or cheerful, in fact it’s pretty bleak – lots of people who are all in the right, but whose rights clash – but it is a suberbly acted story.

Review: School of Rock
School of Rock stars Jack Black as a wannabe rocker who ends up being a substitute teacher for a class of ten year olds.
This film is so much fun! I’ve been a Jack Black fan since High Fidelity and this is the best I’ve seen him at yet! It’s just a joyful, happy, exhuberant movie with lots of really good music. My music knowledge isn’t that great, but this is the kind of movie that makes me want to investigate.

Park Attack
A friend of mine from work is a member of a band called Park Attack, who’ve been getting lots of attention since some friends of theirs called Franz Ferdinand hit it big. She’s just redesigned the website so have a look.
Apparently they are “the combined sound of Glasgow, Newcastle and Leighton Buzzard, kicking no wave into the realms of fantasy.”
New 24 Clock Screensaver
Okay, after much procrastination, and some requests, I’ve put together a new version of my 24 Clock Screensaver. This version has sound. I haven’t put in a mechanism for getting rid of the sound, but some people wanted it quickly, so you can now download the 24 Clock Screensaver (app 1MB). If you see anythign wrong, or have suggestions, just leave a comment.
UPDATE: 30/10/09 – I finally found the file again, so I’ve just re-uploaded it.
Review: Lost in Translation
Lost in Translation stars Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson. I should declare in advance that I’m a Bill Murray fan. He’s starred in some of my favourite films of all time, and he does really well in this film. He’s very funny, but plays it serious where he has to. He does a great job of putting over the utter bewilderment of a fish out of water. Scarlett Johansson is good too, and they play well off eachother. The film isn’t laugh a minute, but all the better for it. When I came out I wasn’t quite sure of the point, but a froiend poined out that there isn’t really a point. There’s a story, beginning, middle, and end, which shows a relationship.. I think I was trying to read the whole thing too deeply.
