The Wolf and the Lamb

WOLF, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea to justify to the Lamb the Wolf’s right to eat him. He thus addressed him:
“Sirrah, last year you grossly insulted me.”
“Indeed,” bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, “I was not then born.”
Then said the Wolf, “You feed in my pasture.”
“No, good sir,” replied the Lamb, “I have not yet tasted grass.”
Again said the Wolf, “You drink of my well.”
“No,” exclaimed the Lamb, “I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother’s milk is both food and drink to me.”
Upon which the Wolf seized him and ate him up, saying, “Well! I won’t remain supperless, even though you refute every one of my imputations.”
The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny.

Review: Matrix Revolutions

Matrix Revolutions. What can I say. If you liked the second one, you’ll like this one, if not, you probably won’t.
There’s a lot less action inside the matrix, and a lot more in the real world, but the pace doesn’t slow. If anything, it increases. There’s less of the long-winded philosophy of the second film. and the effects are really good – not as opey as the yard-fght scene in reloaded, where a lot of it was obvious cgi.
I rate movies according to my expectations of them. If I expect to like them, and I do, they do well.

Review: In America

In America is all about a family of Irish Immigrants in modern day New York.
It’s really good – the adults are good and the kids are great. Not all of it’s great, but it’s well worth seeing.

I Think I'm in Love!

I really want a Sony Ericsson Z600! It’s got everything I’m looking for in a phone. Problem is, I don’t need one – I have 6 months left on my current contract, so I’ll have to wait until April/May. I’m really bad at waiting for stuff . . .

Review: Intolerable Cruelty

Intolerable Cruelty Stars George Clooney as a divorce attorney and Catherine Zeta-Jones as a serial divorcee.
This was great. I’ve seen a lot of people saying that the Coen brothers have lost their sting, but I don’t see that at all. I wasn’t sure about the ending, which is probably keeping this film from the score it might otherwise have had, but there are lots of brilliant pieces of laugh-out-loud dialog in this, as well as one (literally) killer moment of physical comedy. This movie is well worth watching!

Explorer Hanging

It took me a while to find the answer to this, so I thought I would post this to see if the answer gets picked up by the search engine. When I right-clicked in Windows Explorer, it would hang and I could only get rid of it by shutting down explorer and restarting Windows. It turned out that when I uninstalled Eraser, an excellent security program I have been using, that the problem disappeared. Since I was loathed to go without it, I checked the forums and, sure enouth this post held the answer.
