I wanted to keep a note of these links, so here they are:
Review: Identity
Identity stars John Cusack, Ray Liotta and Amanda Peet. It is the story of what happens to five strangers stuck in Motel in the middle of nowhere on a rainy night.
I REALLY ejoyed this film. I don’t really go in for horror films, but this was great. It’s not too Horrory, in the way I dislike, but it certainly had some people nervous. Some people in my showing had to leave the cinema. I was worried half way through that I was going to get a really terrible explanation and roundup, but it actually made the whole story much more interesting.
It’s one of those filmswhere you come out counting your fingers and trying to work out the whole deal. very good.

Actions on nested movieclips
I’ve recently been working on a dynamic scrollbar. one that loads a series of images and can scrol them up and down. The problem I was having was that the “button” movieclips were nested in a “scroller” movieclip, but only the scroller clip would capture mouse actions. I couldn’t assign mouse actions to the individual buttons which was causing me problems. I kind of got a cludge around it by dragging a created movieclip and doing eval(dragged._droptarget) it works pretty well and here’s the code for that section:
this.createEmptyMovieClip("drag", this.getNextDepth());
this.drag.startDrag(true);
//make slider
this.createEmptyMovieClip("sliderStrip_mc", this.getNextDepth());
var limit = this.imageArray.length;
for (var count = 0; count

It's Fair Day
It was Bo’ness Fair day today. The weather wasn’t great, but most people seemed to enjoy it. The grounds of the town hall were really busy – I guess about 2000 people, and eveyone did their bit. I was mainly there to see my next door neighbour who was a presentee. Each school has a group of presentees who perform a dance on the stage for the Queen of the fair. She did really well. I have some pictures, so I may post them.
I finished The order of the Phoenix uk?us last night at 2am, so I’m not sure what to read next. I’ve been waiting so long it’s a bit of an anticlimax to be finished.I go through phases of reading all the time, and then reading nothing for ages. I do love beeks though, and I’ve got at least 500 in my room. At the moment I’m reading “The Vanished Man” uk?us by Jeffrey Deaver. It’s a Lincoln Rhyme mystery and I’m really enjoying the book. Deaver’s books are always so full of twists and turns that you are never sure it’s over until the final sentence.
The Other Bo'ness Fair Song
Hail! to our Queen
Hail! to our Queen
Hail! to our Queen
Our Queen Today
We hail our chosen Queen today
To her our humble homage pay,
While music swells mid banners gay,
and sunbeams gild the scene,
Her faithful subjects see her crowned,
With all her lords and ladies round,
And then our happy shouts resound,
All hail our chosen Queen.
Chorus
Hail! Hail! Our Queen Today,
Hail! Hail! Our chosen Queen
Now raise your voices with a cheer,
Hurray! for our Queen.
Repeat Chorus
